This fabulous antique locket was crafted during the late Victorian period from high quality silver and gold overlay. Interestingly, there are no visible hallmarks but according to several acid tests, the locket body is made from sterling while the bail and jump ring are 14k gold. The recessed areas have a bloomed finished which has been brushed with a black background. Both sides boast a captivating applied vermeil design featuring etched flowers, scrolls, and columns—a visual symphony that transforms this locket into a mesmerizing statement piece.

Within, a singular, original photo frame awaits, easily removable for personalization. The locket's reverse side bears a shield, engraved with the initials J.A.
