This mesmerizing rivière necklace, crafted from paste stones and silver plated copper, is an original 1930s Art Deco piece. Rivière necklaces, named after the French word for "river," originated in the late 18th century during the Georgian Era. The 1930s witnessed a resurgence of rivière necklaces, with the Art Deco movement infusing modern geometric elements into their design.Adorned with thirty-three paste stones, each clear and consistently radiant, this piece captures and reflects light with enchanting brilliance. The stones are safely held with a closed back setting. With a total length of 14 inches, this necklace is highly wearable, making it a versatile accessory for various occasions. Despite its vintage nature, the piece remains a timeless addition to any collection. Delight someone special with this exquisite necklace, as we believe it would make a truly lovely gift.
