This impressively worked Art Deco ring is the perfect period statement piece for your wardrobe. A large emerald cut sapphire paste stone is surrounded by a classic Art Deco geometric halo which is incrusted with marcasites. Paste stones are glass which has been used as a substitute for expensive and hard to mine gems, like sapphire. They remain a lovely example of craftsmanship and ingenuity of the time and are now often valuable in their own right. The filigree work is extremely impressive up close and the ring is in incredible condition with no loss of marcasites or notable wear to the ring or shank. The setting has been acid tested for at least 900 silver.
