This romantic Art Nouveau necklace features an 18k gold chain, upon which hangs a lovely heart shaped convertible and versatile pendant/brooch. Crafted from 18k yellow gold, green gold, and platinum, the pendant carries an interior leaf and berry design in which the green gold has been cleverly crafted into leaves while the red single cut synthetic rubies are embedded to look like berries. The platinum accents have also been crafted into leaves while at the top a rose cut diamond chip crowns the piece in a platinum star. The pendant has an early safety clasp to secure the brooch hook but can easily be removed from the chain to wear on a jacket, scarf, or hat. We love the effortless versatility of antique pieces and this little beauty would look equally as stunning adorning a neck or adding a bit of interest to a lapel. The chain is in excellent condition. It has strong links with many years of life left and the spring ring has good tension and alignment. The pendant is not missing any elements and holds the chain securely. The pendant was designed so that the chain could be removed, so the loops on the pendant are not soldered on so just take care when wearing the pendant that the loops are securely holding the chain.
