Luxurious and timeless, I'll never stop having a soft spot antique lockets. Antique jewelry is beloved for the stories it carries, and nothing has carried more secrets than a locket. Preciously guarding a photo, a lock of hair, a dried flower, a piece of lace; the possibilities are endless. Constructed at the turn of the century with a top opening which closes with a satisfying snap, this locket is adorned with a lucky four leaf clover on the front which is embedded with four small sapphires. The center of the clover and the tail are embedded with seed pearls. The back is smooth and could be personalized with engraving or a monogram. The bail is strong and in good condition. There are some light dents to the back, some mucro-scratches to the front, and the interior glass has been lost to time. Defects are consistent with age and use, are visible in photos, and stand as a testaments to the age and well loved nature of the piece. Crafted from high quality 18 K gold, it is hallmarked on the bail with an eagle head, along with a maker's mark. It would be a great and sentimental gift of a lovely addition to your collection.
