Art Nouveau Gold Filled Heart Locket, Antique French Gold Filled Heart Pendant

This large gold filled locket has our hearts. Featuring ruby and diamond paste stones set in a swirling motif, it is Art Nouveau in style. It opens to reveal space for a photo or special memory. It contains two original frames, rare for lockets of this age, although one cellophane cover has been lost to time. The back is smooth or engraving or personalization. It has gold loss the to edges and bail, as well as one area on the front and a portion of the reverse, consistent with age, but closes well. These timeworn marks are a testament to the history of the piece.
