BOXED | Antique Napoleon III 18K Gold Pearl Drop Earrings – French Bridal Jewelry, c. 1860

These exquisite earrings are from the Napoleon III period, circa 1860. Elegant and practical, they feature a swan neck earring back. This makes them easier to handle than many other earrings of this time period which have hinged sleepers on top. The top portion of the earrings are round with a pearl center. The pendant bottoms are true works of art with a pierced scrolling frame which surrounds a gently hanging column of pearls. There is beautiful detailing all around as the scrolling leaves are meticulously crafted to give a feeling of realism. They are an excellent addition to any collection and even come in their original box.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in excellent antique condition with light micro scratches to the gold but nothing noticeable when worn or that takes away from their charm. They are hallmarked with an horse head on the hook of the swan neck, a hallmark in use from 1838-1919. The earrings come in the original box which still closes securely and bear's the maker's information of a jeweler in Rodez.
