Diamond Art Deco Antique 18K Gold Drop Earrings, Trembleuse Earrings c. 1930

Diamond Art Deco Antique 18K Gold Drop Earrings, Trembleuse Earrings c. 1930

These classic and timeless earrings are crafted from high quality 18k white gold, featuring a delicate line of two small diamonds along the closure. The top diamonds are lovely rose cuts, measuring approximately 2.5 mm, while the lower diamonds are old European cut measuring 3 mm. The largest diamond is an old European cut which elegantly hangs, secured with an extra chain, known in France as a "trembleuse". This innovative setting allows the stone to dance with graceful movement as you go about your day, capturing the light and attention of all who gaze upon it. The earrings are large enough to make an impression but small enough to wear comfortably throughout the day.

From the Art Deco period, crafted around 1930, they are an excellent example of the craftsmanship of the era. The diamond stones reflect the light beautifully. The large hanging diamonds measure 4 mm across, for a weight of approximately .3 cts each, for a total carat weight of approximately total .9 cts. Commanding attention, these beautiful earrings are not only a versatile ornament for everyday wear, they are a piece of history which has been passed carefully through the ages.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in overall excellent condition with strong hinges and a good latch. The stones are clear with little wear to the facets under magnification.
