Edwardian 18K Gold and Platinum Diamond Daisy Cluster Ring, Antique French Ring c. 1900
Edwardian 18K Gold and Platinum Diamond Daisy Cluster Ring, Antique French Ring c. 1900
Crafted in the Edwardian period around 1900, this diamond cluster ring is sure to become a beloved staple in any collection. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this French antique marvel features a lustrous 18k gold band crowned with a platinum setting, reflecting the preference of the era to set stones in a white setting to more efficiently reflect light back. The ring is hallmarked with a horse head, a stamp in use from 1838-1919. Prior to 1913 platinum in France was not hallmarked, so the ring has been acid tested for verification.
The center of the ring features a captivating central rose-cut diamond, lovingly cradled in delicate prongs. Surrounding the central diamond is a halo of eight additional rose-cut diamonds, each meticulously chosen to complement the central stone's enchanting sparkle. Two more rose-cut diamond grace the shoulders, resulting in a total of 11 rose cuts.
Versatile and captivating, this ring effortlessly complements any style, serving as a perfect stacker alongside your favorite bands, as a standalone statement piece, or a magnificent engagement ring.
Condition Notes:
The ring has been resized at least once before in its long history, visible if you look closely at the middle of the band. At the shoulders, the crown does not meet the band ,but it looks like the ring was designed this way rather than that it is a cosmetic fault . It is very sturdy nonetheless.
