Edwardian Silver Beveled Glass Shaker Locket, Antique Sentimental Locket c. 1900

So named because they were originally used to carry loose gemstones which would 'shake' as the wearer moved, this small shaker locket retains all of its antique charm. The frame has been crafted from high quality silver, tested for at least 800 silver purity. The panel on the front of the shaker locket is easily opened and closed with a well functioning hinge. The glass on the piece is in very good condition for age with no visible scratches or impacts. You can be creative about what you would like to store inside: gemstones, a pressed flower from a wedding bouquet, a piece of lace from a baptism. Check the measurements as it is on the small side, however, it remains a beautiful piece of history which has been a guardian of memories for over 100 years.
