French 18K Gold Diamond Pave Halo Ring, Antique French Art Deco Ring c. 1910

This stunning Art Deco engagement ring features a large central old European cut diamond measuring 2.5 mm across, surrounded by six old European cut diamonds in a halo around the central stone. The smaller diamonds measure approximately 2 mm across for a total carat weight of approximately 0.25. This design, with the diamonds set in white gold, was meant to reflect light back making the cluster appear as one large diamond. The ring bears the remains of an eagle hallmark on the band, indicating at least 18k gold purity. A very special piece from a special bygone era, this would make a spectacular engagement ring or is a very versatile piece for every day wear. With the strength of diamonds and their low profile, the ring is very wearable and durable for many years to come.

CONDITION NOTES:
The diamonds are securely set and there are no signs of a resize. The diamonds facets have no nibbling and are in good condition. There are micro-scratches to the gold consistent with age and use.
