French Art Deco 18K Gold and Platinum Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
French Art Deco 18K Gold and Platinum Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
This pretty, classic Art Deco ring features an old European cut diamond in an illusion setting flanked by eight small diamond chips. The diamonds are enhanced by milgrain beadwork and a geometric step design, typical of the period. The band is hallmarked with an eagle head for minimum 18k gold purity, as well as a dog head for platinum. The band is white gold while the setting is platinum. The diamond measures approximately 3.1 mm across and 2.11 mm deep, for approximately .14 carats. The rose cut diamonds measure approximately 1 mm across. It is simple and timeless and remains in excellent antique condition.
CONDITION NOTES:
The ring has normal signs of wear and use. The hallmarks are slightly worn with time and there are micro-scratches to the gold. The diamond is in excellent condition with no chips or wear to the facets under magnification.
