French Faceted Torpedo Drop Earrings c. 1910

These lovely, original paste earrings feature a briolette cut and 18k Yellow gold closures. The closures have an early Art Deco geometric design and a front hook closure in which the earrings thread through the back of the ear and attach to a rivet at the top of the earrings. They take some getting used to in the beginning. The glass is suspended like a drop of water, each facet reflecting the light beautifully. The earrings are stunning and generously sized yet due to the glass they are light weight and comfortable.
