French Filigree Long Guard Chain, Antique Silver Necklace with Hanging Bolt Ring

This beautiful filigree long guard chain has a nice mix of elements. It consists of filigree navette links mixed with flat and thin rectangular links. The overall impression has cleaner and simpler lines than many of the chains from the era and I like the use of the rectangular connecting links versus trace chain. It is lightweight and easy to wear and slightly shorter than some of the other long guards we have in store. It has been modeled wrapped three times but would likely fit more comfortably wrapped two times. I think it would look great mixed and matched with a silver watch chain at the neck. The links are strong but as they are thin two of the rectangular links have been bent or otherwise lost their shape, visible in photos if you look closely. There is also one area of the chain that was repaired so there are two rectangular links in a row. I tested and it is not soldered but is strong without rise of breaking. I didn't try to fix any of the defaults as I like the story they tell and the charm it adds to the piece. It has been priced accordingly.
