GEORGIAN Rose Cut Diamond and Emerald Paste Silver Earrings, Antique French Diamond Earrings c. 1820

GEORGIAN Rose Cut Diamond and Emerald Paste Silver Earrings, Antique French Diamond Earrings c. 1820

These stunning statement piece earrings hail all the way from the Charles X period of France, which makes them late Georgian. Featuring a clear and shiny emerald paste stone surrounded by a halo of rose cut diamonds, they sparkle beautifully in the light. The earrings are cast in high quality silver with a cut down collet setting, typical of the period. Not foil backed, they are open back so the light passes through. The earrings are secured with a latch back in excellent condition. There is a light scratch to one emerald paste stone, visible in photos, but the earrings are in otherwise extremely well-preserved condition considering they are around 200 years old. They would make a stunning 'something old' bridal earrings.
