Regional 18K Foiled Citrine, Antique French Regional Jewelry Pendant

Regional 18K Foiled Citrine, Antique French Regional Jewelry Pendant

This unique regional jewel features a pear cut citrine in a closed, domed setting from the 20th century. The interior foiling is red, creating a really lovely play of color between the foiling and the bright, sunny yellow of the gem. Crafted in the Perpignan region of France, it is known as a Catalan Brazil. It's a wonderful way to remember the lovely, yellow sun of Southern France and would make a great anniversary gift or to commemorate a trip. The pendant is sizable and measures 1.1 cm x 0.8 cm. It is hallmarked on the bail for 18k gold purity.

CONDITION NOTES:
It is necessary to keep the pendant away from water as this can damage the foiling. A very eye catching and unique piece, it remains in excellent condition and looks to have been stored very carefully and possibly never worn. Check photos and video for details.
