Rarely do I get pieces so sweet and sentimental. This beautiful one of a kind pendant carries a special meaning as a popular French symbol of remembrance. The pansy shares the same pronunciation as the French word 'think', giving the wearer the reminder to 'think of me'. As such it became a popular way to declare feelings of love or friendship. This is almost certainly to commemorate a wedding or anniversary as the front of the pansy is cleverly designed to open and reveal a date carved into a heart: 21 Novembre, 1903. There are two gemstones set into the pansy, a single cut ruby and diamond which measure approximately 1.5-2 mm across each. It's likely that these are the birth stones of the couple. Each petal of the flower has been beautifully crafted and the ingenuity of the front panel design makes this a special offering.
CONDITON NOTES:
The pendant is lightweight and petite. As such it is comfortable to wear and can be put on a charm bracelet or worn on a chain close to the heart. The pendant closes securely and the bail is strong and in good condition.
