Silver Art Nouveau Holly Long Guard Chain Necklace

Light and wearable, this Art Nouveau long guard chain features a thinly braided vermeil foxtail chain which is adorned with a romantic mistletoe slide. The chain is a very nice, full length at 56" and can be wrapped two or three times. We always love finding long guard chains with a hanging dog clip as they look so nice with a pendant or locket attached. In good antique condition and hallmarked with a boar's head on the spring ring which guarantees at least 800 silver purity, this chain has then been given a gold overlay which has since worn to a beautiful patina. The chain still has many years of life left as the dog clip clasp is in good condition with excellent tension and alignment.
