My enduring love for Victorian bangle bracelets continues with this absolute gem of a piece which was crafted circa 1860. Featuring a central turquoise cabochon which is flanked by beautiful wire work and two lucky horseshoes, it's a unique piece with timeless appeal. It opens on a hinge and closes with a secure, hidden box clasp so you won't lose this beautiful bangle. The bracelet is vermeil, bust most of the gold has been worn with time giving it a very unique and lovely patina. The great thing about vermeil is that as the gold wears it gives way to silver so the piece still looks spectacular and has a vintage appeal in all stages.
CONDITION NOTES:
The pearls have lost their luster with time and the vermeil has worn. There is wear consistent with age and use but the box clasp remains in excellent condition. I recommend the piece for someone with a wrist size between approximately 5.75-6.5" or so. It fits very well on my 6 inch wrist but looks to have some room for a larger wrist as well. The bangle is not solid which makes it lightweight and comfortable.
