A lovely collectible pendant charm originally made for a chatelaine chain. This lovely silver, niello, and rose gold pencil case features a clever mechanism to slide the pencil up and down via a platform connected to a slide. Photos show how it is retractable. The slide is in excellent working condition and the silver and rose gold vermeil have a lovely patina of time. The niello shows signs of wear, consistent with age, but this just adds to its story and proves its authenticity. A great gift for a collector or lover of curiosities.
