SMALL - 18K Gold Victorian Diamond and Pearl Bangle Bracelet, Antique French Belle Epoque Small Wrist Hinged Box Clasp Bracelet

This one is for the small wrist-ed among us, which fortunately does not include me, as I wouldn't be able to let go of this beauty if it did. Featuring a lovely rosy gold patina and a unique flattened disk shape, this hinged bangle bracelet is the perfect piece to give any outfit an understated elegance. We love it's simplicity; it is not ostentatious but has unique elements that make it a timeless companion piece for any outfit. It features a central daisy design, centered by a rose cut diamond, surrounded by a halo of ten half seed pearls. The daisy center is then flanked by seed pearls which are graduated in side, resembling leaves flanking the central flower. Victorian imagery is replete with symbolism, and while pearls were often symbolic of loss and mourning, they were also associated with loyalty and fidelity in romantic relationships. The bracelet closes with a secure box clasp, and reinforced by an intact and original security chain. The hallmark on the box clasp has faded with time, but it's still possible to make out the outline of an eagle head, which guarantees at least 18k gold purity.

CONDITION NOTES:
There is some shrinking to one pearl, but the rest remain in excellent condition, a rare feat for pearls of this age. The diamond is securely set and not at risk of falling out. The box clasp is strong and secure. I recommend this bracelet for someone with a wrist size smaller than 6". I can get it on my 6" wrist but it is a little small and would feel more comfortable on a petite wrist. Overall excellent antique condition.
