This sweet mourning locket features a silver cross, imbedded with pearls, on an oval gold fill frame. The interior has a lovely glass partition which can be used to store a photo or special memory. These hinged glass partitions are particular to France and are impressively and cleverly designed. Despite its age, the locket still closes with a satisfying snap. There is light scratching and wear to the back, and a missing pearl on the front, all consistent with age and visible in photos. I quite like these little time worn gems as they show their history and are made even more unique by their defects.
