This beautiful shaker locket holds a sentimental collection of dried flowers which has been there for many years. I didn't want to risk damaging the flowers and so kept them in place, although I did test the closure and it works very well. A romantic reminder of the past, we wonder if the flowers were to commemorate a nice trip to the countryside, part of a wedding bouquet, or dried flowers from an arrangement many summers gone before. Featuring lightly beveled glass and a gold filled frame, it is in very good vintage condition. There is light gold loss around the hinge and bail, consistent with age, but it is difficult to find pieces like this in good condition and even rarer to find one that still has the original dried flowers. A romantic and whimsical gift for the antique lover in your life, or as a treat to yourself.
