Victorian Niello Locket Fob, Antique Rectangular Silver Niello Photo Locket

Although it started its life as a watch chain fob, we think this rectangular niello locket would look lovely on an antique silver chain. It features a lovely repeating diagonal cross pattern and contains one original interior glass. Closing very securely with a 'snap' it is sure to guard your treasures securely for years to come. There is wear to the niello on the bail and on the corners of both sides of the locket, visible in photos and video, but this type of wear is a testament to the authenticity of the piece and shows how well loved and well worn it was. Niello is normally a very strong wearing material, is it is fired at high temperatures and more durable than enamel so it should be able to accompany you for many years to come.
