This unique Victorian locket pendant is a well crafted beauty from the aesthetic movement circa 1880. It features a floral design of engraved roses which are applied in rose gold and green gold. True to the aesthetic style it is large and impressive and would look great hung on a thick book chain or a long guard chain. The bail is thick and strong and the back of the locket is smooth for personalization or engraving. The interior retains one original glass frame and one empty side with room to store a photo or precious memory.
CONDITION NOTES:
The locket snaps closed very securely and hold well. The bail has a crack across the back, in the area where it hooks to the top of the locket, which doesn't affect it's stability and which is visible in the video if you look closely. It is not in danger of breaking off as it's very thick and strong. In very good condition for age it bears just some light signs of time and use but nothing to affect the charm of the piece.
