Victorian Silver Bird Bangle, Antique French Bird Hinged Bracelet with box clasp

This beautiful bangle bracelet is for the bird lovers. If features an engraved bird in flight framed by a spray of leaves. The detailing extends across the front with a smooth reverse, which opens and closes with a box clasp and attached security chain. Likely from the Art Nouveau period, c. 1910, it's a beautiful example of craftsmanship of the era. The silver is thick and high quality 800 silver, standard for the period, and is hallmarked with two boar's heads on the box clasp. It has light micro-scratches and one small dent on the reverse, consistent with age. As you can see, the interior has a lovely patina which only time can give and which really helps the features stand out. A great addition to any collection.
