Victorian Silver Long Guard Chain, Antique French Muff Chain with Hanging Bolt Ring

Thick and heavy unique long guard chain with very unique twisted oval interlocking links. Really beautifully decorated and in excellent condition despite its age. It is getting harder to find full length long guard chains as they have often been divided with time to make smaller necklaces. The chain has been hallmarked by a crab every 30 cm, guaranteeing at least 800 silver purity. The hanging bolt ring can be used to clip a pendant or locket and the necklace is long enough to wrap two or three times over heard. A lovely example of Victorian silver work, it is in very good condition with links that are strong.
