Vintage 18k Solid Gold White Sapphire Art Deco Stud Earrings

These lovely mid-century vintage stud earrings were crafted from 18k solid gold around 1940/1950. They feature large, 4.9 mm natural white sapphires which are securely held in a buttercup prong setting. The twisted braid frame is a lovely rich, buttery gold. The earrings have a alpa mecan closure system, an early prong back system commonly used in high end gold pieces. They are hallmarked with an eagle head guaranteeing at least 18k gold purity.
